BIOGRAPHY
Julie Carrere is a dancer and performer from France, currently based in Berlin. Their work explores the body and dance as contemporary lenses through which to reflect on their social condition and relationship to the world. Influenced by their pop and internet culture, dance education, and often closely linked to music, Carrere develops choreographies that engage audiences across diverse contexts.
Julie Carrere graduated with a Diploma of Choreographic Studies from the Conservatoire de Paris in 2017 and with a Bachelor in Cultural Mediation in 2022. They are currently completing the Master in Performative Practices 'Live Art Forms' at the Akademie der Bildende Künste in Nuremberg. As a dancer, they recently collaborated with Hannah Schillinger (2026), Cornelia Böhnisch and Katharina Schrott (2026, 2025) and Johanna Ryynänen (2025). Their choreogreaphic work have been presented at Uferstudios (2024), Tanznacht Festival (2023), Molt (2023), P.A.R.T.S. (2023), ada Studio (2023, 2022), and Hosek Contemporary (2022).
